The Friends of Raccoon Creek State Park is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 of dedicated volunteers. Our purpose is to promote environmental education programs, outdoor recreation, maintenance of historical attributes, conservation of park assets and to encourage people to use the park for recreational activities.
Is your group looking for an outdoor or environmental education program?
Over 200 programs are done annually for groups at Raccoon Creek State Park! The Environmental Education Staff offers a wide variety of environmental education and outdoor recreational programming for all types of groups.
Book your program for June-September 2016.
School groups, scouts, clubs, churches, hunting associations, and everyone in between are welcome to contact us about nature hikes, wildflower walks, teacher workshops, historic tours, animal tracking, bird watching, kayaking, geocaching, fishing, merit badge programs, geology and many others. Contact the Raccoon Creek State Park’s Environmental Education Staff at 724-899-3611 for details or to request a program.
Please consider donating to our Playground Fund. Your contribution will be used to purchase new playground equipment for the park.
THE BEACH IS OPEN, PLEASE STOP BY
The beach food concession will be open 12-6pm daily, come on down to enjoy a frozen treat, admire the lake, and look for turtles.
The boat concession is open daily 10am-6pm. Stop by to rent a kayak, stand up paddleboard, hydrobike, or a canoe. The water is beautiful, please join us!
